Children Helping Children Campaign

As we enjoy the winter season with our family and loved ones, we should not forget that there are children who need our support – our small gifts and gestures can make a big difference. In 2024, JVC families generously donated an all-time record of 160 gift boxes for the “Children helping Children” campaign. The boxes prepared with love are already on their way to children in need in Bulgaria. A big thank you to everyone who took part!

Acting Outside the Box: Unexpected Lessons in Resilience

Water damage on the second and third floors of the left corridor in the learning house required quick action and agility from everyone involved. The JVC school community proved its unity in October and November 2024: “Acting outside the box” in practice! While the affected rooms were emptied, Neptune, Uranus and Saturn spent an autumn day at the Hellabrunn Zoo, and Jupiter, Mars, Earth and Mercury spent the day at the Deutsches Museum.

After the fall vacation, there was a w...

Celebrating our JVC Values: School without Racism – School with Courage

In recent discussions with our school families, on the news of protests around Germany, and in talks with our own children and teens, the topic of acceptance and our value of the human being has been a topic in the past few weeks.

Embedded in SBW’s view of the person and in the fractal element “respectful interaction,” we once again state that we do not tolerate racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, or any discrimination based on gender, religion, sexual orientation, or nationa...

Climate Network Meeting in Nuremberg

In November 2023, five of our elementary school learning partners wowed their audience at a climate network meeting in Nuremberg in conjunction with our status as Bavarian Climate School GOLD. In their five-minute presentation, they not only showed their love for the climate and nature, but also what they have already learnt from various climate initiatives at JVC and how actively they are already working for our environment on Campus. Seemingly effortlessly, they used their facial expressions, ...
