A look back at the Easter holiday 2019
We started off our Easter holiday at JVC with a colorful splash. The learning partners used different techniques to make their own creatively dyed Easter eggs. Each learning partner made one egg that they could take home to save for a weekend Easter egg hunt. Speaking of hunting, the learning partners became detectives around Munich the next day during our city detective tour. Our little investigators found the local dragon at Marienplatz, discovered dozens of monks around the city, and learned many other interesting facts. The next day we tested the laws of physics and gravity with eggs! Each learning partner was put into a team of four or five and using their creative engineering skills together, they made parachutes for eggs. Then we went up to the first floor and dropped the egg parachutes out the window. We had eggs survive falling from the top floor! After our foray into the world of egg aerodynamics, the learning partners dove into the underwater world at Sealife. They saw a variety of underwater creatures, including sharks, octopi, and rays. After such an exciting first week of holiday club, we took a long weekend to gear up for the second week.
After a wonderful Easter weekend, we continued to celebrate the holiday with Easter activities on Tuesday including an Easter egg hunt, relay races, and team games. On Wednesday we went on an amazing field trip to the Bavaria Filmstadt. We’ve now got a whole group of young directors as the learning partners made their own clips on location. The following day, we had a picnic in Ostpark with all of our friends. The learning partners were able to get all their energy out by running around and climbing all over the playgrounds. Keeping the active attitude going, we rounded off the holiday club with a sports day. This Easter holiday club was abundant with fun and great memories. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to the next holiday club!
